VA Benefits Navigator (VABN) is the first university and technology platform dedicated entirely to teaching veterans how to navigate the VA disability claims process with confidence.
For decades, veterans navigating the VA disability claims process have faced a massive, complex federal system without a map. The complexity of the VA is not intentional, but it is inherent to a system that serves millions. Because there has never been a formal educational institution dedicated to teaching veterans how this system actually works, millions of veterans have been forced to rely on guesswork, peer support groups, or expensive paid services just to file a claim.
We realized that the solution was not another consulting firm or another Facebook group. The solution was education.
VA Benefits Navigator (VABN) was founded to fill this critical gap. We are building the “West Point of the VA claims world” a rigorous, structured educational platform taught by former VA raters and subject matter experts. Combined with our patent-pending technology that maps directly to the 38 Code of Federal Regulations, we are putting the power, the knowledge, and the strategy back into the hands of the veteran.
VABN was born from the intersection of two distinct, yet deeply connected veteran experiences.
Dewayne is a United States Army Veteran and a former VA rater. After leaving the VA, Dewayne spent years consulting, creating educational content, and building an audience of over 160,000 veterans on YouTube. Having been involved in over 15,000 VA claims projects, he saw firsthand that the biggest barrier between a veteran and their earned benefits was simply a lack of understanding of how the VA evaluates claims. He knew that to truly solve the problem at scale, the focus had to shift entirely to education.
Don is a Marine veteran whose family knows the toll of the claims process intimately. Don’s own journey to a 100% rating took years of persistence. But the true catalyst for VABN was his father, a three-war veteran who battled the VA system for 15 years. Tragically, his father passed away on the exact same day his winning 100% decision letter arrived in the mail; he died never knowing he had finally won.
When Dewayne helped Don and his father navigate their claims, the two recognized a shared mission. Don brought his 20+ years of expertise in technology, marketing, and automation to Dewayne’s deep insider knowledge of the VA system. Together, they built VABN to ensure no veteran—and no veteran’s family—ever has to fight the system in the dark again.
Education requires the right tools. We built the first-of-its-kind technology platform that maps over 1,000 medical diagnostic codes directly to the 38 Code of Federal Regulations. Our software allows veterans to cross-reference their symptoms with the exact federal language the VA uses to rate disabilities, helping them build medical evidence and structure their claims with precision.
The educational cornerstone of our mission. VABN University is an 8-class course delivered over 4 months, walking you through the entire VA disability claims process from understanding how claims are evaluated to building and submitting a file that reflects the full extent of your conditions. Curriculum is designed and taught by former VA raters and accredited experts who know exactly how the system works from the inside.
Your service came with a real cost and your injuries don’t disappear when you come home. Learn exactly how to document, file, and claim your disability benefits. Join hundreds of veterans taking control of their future through education.
